lol...Philippines' version of Monosodium glutamate (in short, MSG)...i remember before, my mother would always use this to enhance the flavor of the food but when she found out about the effects of excessive use, she immediately stopped. It took us a while to get the hang of it of eating foods without msg because the taste is different...

noreen.
I was going to bring some back. to show people.
My Girlfriend was reluctant to let me do that. Because she thought people would think bad of The Philippines from it. Although it seems that most Filipinos are much more healthy than Americans.

you don't have to worry about bringing it back. there are some available at Seafood City. I would say we are healthier than most Americans because fast food is not easily accessible aside from the fact that it's expensive back home. Having fast food once in a blue moon is more like a TREAT to us. Also, the food that we eat are more organic than what we have here. Most of us grow our own vegetables, even poultry and meat products. the only flaw that we have is almost all food that we eat is fried or has undergone frying...lol

Ha ha Yes I knew I could bring it back. She was seeming to be reluctant because of the negative stigma attached to MSG. (she is a very proper person)
and yes I completely agree about the fast food.
I ate at a Philippines version of Fast Food and I couldn't tell it was fast food because it was just like regular food (Spaghetti, Adobo, and BBQ and Rice). Even the Airport served food when I was stuck in the Typhoon was Adobo which was very good.
I want to go to seafood city and get some Filipino Bananas, do they have them there. I thought the bananas there were sooooooo good, very sweet and moist. Compared to Central and South American Bananas which are dry and bland.
