Gas Gouging Syndicate

Fuel prices were sky-high last year. Then they dropped. Now they're on the rise again, which often leads people to believe there's a better chance that their friendly neighborhood gas station is cheating them at the pumps. In Michigan, the state's "pump police" reported that it's rare -- just five stations of more than 5100 statewide were charged last year with shorting customers. But one station, a Fast Track near Detroit, was accused of clipping its unsuspecting customers by as much as $100,000 in a year's time. The station was shut down, and the owner, who pleaded guilty to a felony count of intentionally selling short measure, was ordered to pay a $55,000 fine and put on probation for 18 months.

Okay so they cheated people out of $100,000 and had to give the Government $55,000 ...Hmm sounds like a crime syndicate and they split 55/45.

What is wrong with this picture.

Will The Real City of Trees.........Please........

It seems that Sacramento and Woodland are vying for the prestigious title of "City of Trees". The controversial signs of both cities claim the title. Sacramento was so bold as to paint it on their big ginormous water tower in the Pocket Road Area.

While Woodland has only opted for a small brick veneer and plaster sign located on the heavily travelled East Main Street, near it's intersection with Road 102 and Interstate-5.

It seems the City of Sacramento has enlisted CalPERS to join their side in the fued. In a recent production showcasing their new Headquarters Expansion. CalPERS officials refer to Sacramento as "The City of Trees" when discussing their new $12Million Front Door, which actually looks more like a Golf Tee with Glass. (please see previous post on this blog)

It is yet unknown which organizations will support the City of Woodland in it's claim to the title.

City officials for both cities could not easily be reached for comment.

It will be very interesting to see how this shakes out............

Stay Tuned for more information............
